Best Mid-Century Modern CC For The Sims 4 –

Everyone recognizes Midcentury Modern when they see it. And it seems like it’s one of those things you either love or hate.

After all, unusual (and sometimes controversial) colors and retro architecture are not for everyone.

Personally, I never get tired of this style. My sim’s house is mostly furnished with mid-range models. Someone once called my taste “granny chic.” I guess I’m guilty of that.

Even if you don’t go that far yourself, I think you can find something to your liking here!

I want to start with this CC kit from Peacemaker_ic, which contains almost everything you need to set up your sim house in this style.

First of all, I want to draw attention to the wallpaper.

Almost every building I own has at least one model. I don’t care if it looks old-fashioned or a little out of place for “current” houses and sims, I am in love with these colors.

In Love.

Second, I want to point out that interior styles are distinctly different from everything else in the game, in the best sense of the word.

The bucket seat, footstools and side tables can be combined to give your sim house a unique retro look.

In fact, these are just some of the highlights of the package – a more appropriate name for a mid-century starter kit!

In another amazing creation from our retro-loving Lord and Savior, Peacemaker, we have more seats.

A sofa, a love seat, an armchair and a couch, all in one wonderfully sharp look. Furniture like this, which I now know as wing furniture, is not very common these days.

It’s a real shame. All these pieces are so… dignified.

Racking for storage

Any item used more than once gets double points from me.

I think it’s an idea that didn’t really come up until Tiny Living Things. Before that, most things were pretty simple for our Sims.

Bunk beds. TV stands. Tables where you can stack all the dirty dishes until the cleaning lady comes.

Well, not anymore. Thanks to great ideas like Vro’s (who is also a middle-aged adult), your sim will sit down at a table and work.

I really like the presentation in the photo. The lamp, phone, cactus and pens are all within easy reach. It’s so comfortable!

And you better mix it up, because we all know it becomes a designated eating area if you don’t.

Hairdresser

Just the word “vanity” conjures up images of the past in my head. I guess it’s not just me, because these items were introduced in The Sims 4 with the addition of Vintage Glamour Stuff.

Vro has created another beautiful piece of furniture here, this time a surprisingly compact dressing table with mirror.

Yes, you can finally give your Sims a place to store their makeup and perfume that doesn’t look like it came from an abandoned Victorian house.

Set of mid-change CCs

Here we go again. A lot of CCs!

It’s true: we once again have some mid-range items to decorate your sim house with, this time from Plumbing & Fittings.

Funky patterns, pop art, solid colors and new grids come together to create a perfect display inspired by the past.

Here are also some dining table and chair options, sometimes overlooked but essential in your home.

Something like a round table works so well for this type of design.

Retro bench

You can always use more sofas, right?

With that in mind, I would like to know the consensus on the condition of the sofa and the chair. Are they identical or is there a difference? And if you go back to the Middle Ages, there were people who called them Davenports.

I think they are all the same, and then I see items like this and I think the benches might be a little more fancy ….

Semantics aside, this Vechbian song (whatever you call it) is super clean and long-winded.

Residential Construction in Portland

Man, this set makes me so happy. So far, every set on this list has been impressive, but this one is to my personal taste.

So if you are like me and want your home to look like a set from a TV show three times older than you, this is definitely for you.

One of the most exciting things here is the chimney, which is quite small compared to the usual dimensions of dinosaurs. But that’s not the coolest thing. It matches the furniture.

Not only do you have a tea table, a sofa and a bookcase, but you also have a fireplace. It’s incredible, isn’t it?

There are many other ways to vary the colors, unless of course you want everything together.

The designer SaudadeSims offers you many options to achieve this, the furniture is all available in 28 colors.

Functional television by age

Now that I have given you many retro seating options, we need to start the conversation.

I think we can all agree that in most modern homes, the television is the main focal point. All your furniture will revolve around it, as if she were the sun and your sofa the earth.

It may be an exaggeration, but honestly, what did people do in their living rooms before there was television? Sit around and talk to each other? Bleh.

Fortunately, by the middle of the century, these concerns had long subsided.

Yes, even when TVs still came in boxes and the screen only made up about 30% of the entire TV, people were obsessed.

This television from Effie looks exactly as it should: it fits perfectly with the rest of the furniture I’ve listed.

The fact that it is functional is the icing on the cake.

Vinyl stereo turntable

The Sims 4 may not be your first foray into the franchise if the sight of this film seems strangely familiar and makes you nostalgic.

It took me a while to figure out why, but this is another great conversion from TS3 to TS4. Deep in my memory, I remember it being one of my most used items many moons ago.

Now I can get my dose of vintage quirkiness in full force in Sims 4.

Items like this are so needed, especially with vinyl being so popular these days.

Generations of stereo

Refer to this CC

If there’s one thing you can’t live without in a medieval house, it’s one of those giant stereos.

I don’t know why the stereo takes up a whole wall. I just know it’s accurate and it looks cute. No one would mistake the time you stand filming with one of those cute pictures piled up in your sim’s living room.

And you have more room for a nice, nice mess.

Retro walls

Refer to this CC

In my opinion, Simmer will never have enough choice in wall coverings.

I could spend hours flipping through the pages, looking for new ones, without being satisfied.

Here we have a wallpaper from the 1960s. There is no other way to describe it and it is beautiful.

I have no idea of the names of these models, but they look very familiar to me. Who would have ever thought that someone could be nostalgic for an era that ended decades before they were born?

Dye for plush comfort mats

Believe it or not, it’s actually one of the first custom content I ever downloaded.

When I received The Sims 4, I immediately noticed the lack of carpet. That’s where Porphyria came in as my hero, and they’ll be yours too if you want the carpeting to match the rest of your average look.

What was popular for flooring at the time is not fashionable now.

Brown. Orange. Green. Even pink, believe it or not. Those were the colors of the past.

You don’t get that feeling on a beige carpet.

Mid-century kitchen utensils

Refer to this CC

The kitchen on your ledge needs a little attention if you want to go all the way into the midst of the modern century.

These two CC articles by Linzlu bring the old-fashioned touch you are looking for.

Maybe I’m just a slacker, but I can’t remember the last time I saw an apron. It adds something beautiful to the overall look of your kitchen.

The cake customer does the same, so your sims have a perpetual cake on the counter.

Kingston Dining Room

Refer to this CC

We went back to the Peacekeepers, but we left the lounge. As expected, always excellent!

Now that all eyes are on table service, I think it is time to pay attention to something that many of you may not have noticed ….it seems that almost everyone had two tables during this period.

One was in the kitchen and served for breakfast, and the other was on a large table in the dining room and served for dinner.

Of course, I’m not speaking from experience – it’s just something I’ve noticed from looking at many old TVs and old photographs.

I don’t know anyone who has room for two tables. So that’s something to consider when you place these things.

Futura” living room and dining room set

Refer to this CC

In this combined living and dining room from Peacemaker, you have another billion ways to experience mid-fashion interior design.

I feel like I’m beating a dead horse again when I talk about flowers, even though I’m about to lose my mind.

Let’s focus instead on the actual design of these articles.

It’s all so unique. I have never seen tables, shelves or mirrors like this and I love it.

Back to retro cabinets.

Refer to this CC

It may look like an ordinary wooden cabinet, but it scares me.

As much as I love colors and patterns, sometimes simplicity is just as good.

In fact, a few neutral elements such as these offer the opportunity for more whimsical decorations.

And you can customize it however you want with clutter, which is always a win over the preset clutter.

Peggy’s dress.

Refer to this CC

As this list comes to a close, I’d like to point out a few ways your Sims will maintain their homes that are overflowing with mid-century CCs.

This dress from Fireliftea is a good first step.

It is delightful and not tied to a single decade – like the Middle Ages themselves.

Samantha Hair.

Refer to this CC

Well, this hair of the talented Zaurus is beautiful.

Your sims will look so stylish and neat with this shortwave with a headband.

The blow to the side of that hair is really nice too. I’m a little jealous.

Beehive hair

Refer to this CC

Is there one hairstyle more emblematic and daring than the beehive? I don’t think there is one.

Although you hardly see anyone with this hairstyle on the street today, long hair was a big deal in the middle of the century.

I have no idea how they managed to keep their hair like this, I’m just glad this miracle is now available to our Sims.

The same old glasses.

Refer to this CC

And finally, we need to take a closer look at the glasses.

Did you understand that I was trying to make a joke about the visions? I mean, I really tried, and that’s the best I could come up with. It’s embarrassing.

Anyway…

In fact, filtering is one of the quickest ways to determine what period a photo is composed of.

Their checkerboard history is quite dramatic, undoubtedly dating back to many design decisions.

These Nords-Sims glasses, slightly cat-eye shaped and in tortoise shell, are truly vintage. Enough to outfit your Sim with winged chairs and a long-pile carpet.
